The 11.15 a.m. Lecture.

The subject was iron age settlements in Wales. The lecturer, Mr Pugh, was of the old school. He had always given live lectures. He was a wonderful actor and always managed to present a very informative and exciting lecture. He had `props' today. Various excavations had occurred in Wales and Aberystwyth was fortunate to hold many of the artifacts that had been discovered. Mr Pugh always liked illustrated lectures and today's on domestic cutlery and earthenware was one of his favourites. He was getting a little old now though and he had agreed that his presentations could be filmed. The audio visual unit were in attendance and were set up to record Mr Pugh's delivery. There was a sense of expectation as the students waited. They were not disappointed. It was one of his best lectures. It was also the last time he would present it as later that year Mr Pugh was to die. His work however was captured and later he worked with the technicians to enhance the material and add more hyper-links to other work. The lecture in fact turned out to be his best that final year and will be remembered by all the students there that day. Modern technology of course means that future students will be able to see it too. Indeed the hyper course that was prepared added to his expert delivery and became the most definitive body of work created on iron age settlements.
